After graduating from University College Oxford Peter spent a year teaching in Greece before commencing his pupillage with the late Cecil Henriques. At that time undefended Divorce was popular and Cecil had the biggest family practice in England.
Throughout his career Peter has been involved in all areas of family work. He represented Lady Matthews in the divorce of Stanley Matthews. In more recent years Peter has specialised in public law care work, private residence disputes and ancillary relief.
For many years Peter has appeared in criminal cases and civil actions against the police. In May 2009 he was briefed to appear in the Court of Appeal in a murder "baby shaking" case involving
consideration of detailed medical evidence.
In his spare time Peter advises national newspapers on defamation and contempt. He lives in the City Centre and in Cheshire.

David graduated from Birmingham University in 1993, and went on to study the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law in 1995. He has since qualified as a mediator and also sits as a Deputy District Judge (Civil) on the Northern Circuit.
After working in a Manchester solicitors' firm for 14 months on a group action seeking compensation for child abuse suffered in Cheshire children's homes, he did his training in London. He moved to Cobden House in 1999, and since then has practised in all areas of family law.
David regulary deals with financial remedy cases, representing both husbands and wives, and has a growing expertise in property disputes between unmarried couples. He has dealt with proceedings ranging from those with very few assets to multi-million pound cases.
In cases involving children he regularly represents parents, grandparents and other carers. He has also handled several disputes with an international element, such as where a parent wishes to emigrate with a child. He has also represented clients in several Forced Marriage Protection cases, and where there is a significant risk of abduction.
He is a member of the Family Law Bar Association, and taught advocacy on the Bar Vocational Course at Manchester Metropolitan University for 8 years.

Lisa specialises in all aspects of family law. She has an increasingly busy practise being popular with both solicitors and clients; her friendly and personable approach lends itself well to her practice. Lisa accepts instructions for all family court proceedings including both private and public law proceedings. She has also represented clients in cases involving international elements including applications to remove children from the jurisdiction as well as seeking the return of children wrongfully removed.
Lisa confidently represents individuals, local authorities, and children through their guardian. She has been exposed to a wide range of family law proceedings in the Family Proceedings Court, the County Court and also the High Court.
